A Review of Podcasts and Music
What is Your Favorite?
Podcasts and music are two of the most popular forms of entertainment and Radio DJ Drops has it all. Music is a form of art that has been around for centuries, while podcasts have only recently become popular. There are many different genres to choose from, so it can be hard to decide which one you like best! This article reviews three types of music: classical, jazz, and hip-hop/rap. It also reviews three different podcasts: Serial Season One, The Daily Show Podcast with Trevor Noah, and The Joe Rogan Experience Podcast.
Classical Music
If you’re looking for a relaxing experience, then classical music is the way to go. It has slower tempo and a lighter mood than some of the other genres mentioned here. The symphony, opera, or concerto can be your best bet if you’re trying to unwind from stressful day. Depending on what type of pieces you enjoy most (or how well-versed in classical music you are), there’s probably an artist out there that will suit your taste perfectly!
Jazz
To me jazz is one of those ‘if it sounds good, I like it’ types of things because this genre encompasses so many different styles. If you want something upbeat with a feel-good vibe, then you might want to check out jazz fusion. Or if you’re in the mood for something a little more mellow and lyrical, there’s always smooth jazz.
Hip-Hop/Rap
Some people may not consider hip-hop or rap music because it usually doesn’t fall into one of those ‘traditional’ genres; however, these types of songs are very catchy (usually). I’m personally all about Drake right now — his lyrics tell great stories. You can also find lots of these tracks on YouTube that have been mixed with different musical samples from other artists so they sound like an entirely new song!
